Dr. Jerry Leung Medical Club Opens in Markham, the First of Its Kind in the GTA
The Dr. Jerry Leung Medical Club has opened in Markham, the first all-in-one health and wellness destination of its kind in the Greater Toronto Area, built by a local physician.
This week, Mayor Frank Scarpitti and I attended the grand opening of the Dr. Jerry Leung Medical Club in Markham. It is the first of its kind in the Greater Toronto Area.
What struck me most is what it represents: a Markham physician choosing to build something ambitious in our own city. The vision is an all-in-one health and wellness destination that brings several services together under a single roof.
What the club brings together
- Medical care: concierge family medicine, comprehensive health assessments, an on-site pharmacy and bloodwork lab, and medical aesthetics.
- Wellness and fitness: a full fitness centre with a running track, reformer Pilates, a gym studio, hydrotherapy with saunas and cold plunges, and a 14-foot saltwater aquarium lounge.
- Family-friendly touches: a supervised kids’ lounge and play area.
Bringing all of this together in one place is genuinely innovative. It is the kind of forward-thinking investment that creates jobs, draws attention to Markham as a hub for innovation, and reflects the entrepreneurial spirit that makes our community special.
