World Autism Awareness fundraiser at King Square Shopping Centre supporting local organisations that serve people with intellectual disabilities.
On April 28, 2024, from 2 to 5 p.m. at King Square Shopping Centre (9390 Woodbine Ave.), the Charity Roadshow Fundraiser marked World Autism Awareness with a community afternoon of support for local service organisations.
Funds raised were directed to organisations including Cherished Integrated Services, the Chinese Autism Awareness Center, the ME and Lau Family Foundation, Gifted People Services, and the Reena Foundation. The event continues the roadshow model of bringing residents, performers, and partners into one place to raise money that stays close to the people who need it.
